Apple Cider Vinegar for Fibromyalgia

I often see various ideas thrown around as “cures” for fibromyalgia. As someone who’s lived with chronic pain for more than a decade, I think these claims are overly optimistic, at best. Although I know it’s possible to manage your symptoms, so that pain no longer rules your day, I don’t know of any such “miracle cure” for fibromyalgia. What I’ve found is that some natural remedies work well for me. They offer temporary relief. Eventually, they stop working and I need to try something else.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Fibromyalgia

Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar One of the most profound discoveries I have made initially.  It must contain “The Mother” in it to be highly effective.  Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar is made from 100% organic apples.  You can easily purchase it from your local supermarket or health food store. My own symptoms were so severe I could barely walk.

In order to heal, I had to search for the root causes of my condition, and eradicate them. This took years. It took many natural remedies and it took a total lifestyle overhaul. Saying that apple cider vinegar is a cure for fibromyalgia is something that sounds too good to be true. Because it is, it’s highly unlikely that a single remedy, such as this, will cure a case of longstanding chronic pain. Apple Cider Vinegar can help fibromyalgia.

It has to be Organic because it’s more pure. You can buy it at health food stores and its cheap. It is a natural blood thinner it helps to move the congested fluid in your body. It feeds your cells life. But the taste is horrible. Add some honey with lots of water just before each meal. You can also lose weight if you take it for a few months. Don’t take the pill form they don’t work. Remember this drink is for your health and the long term the benefits will be great.

Raw apple cider vinegar is considered a very healthy food. And it’s believed to have a number of potential health benefits. But, because it doesn’t decrease my pain, or increase my energy, I use apple cider vinegar as a food, and not as a medicine. So I always have organic apple cider vinegar in my kitchen cabinet, and not in my medicine cabinet.

Among its many potential benefits, apple cider vinegar appears to lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, help with weight loss and help your body with detoxification, according to Dr. Josh Axe, DC, one of the online natural health experts I follow. Apple cider vinegar is also supposed to be a good hair conditioner too. But I can’t recommend it. I used it once and it made my hair dry and brittle. Another example of how we’re all different.

While apple cider vinegar does not treat fibromyalgia per se, it has been reported to alleviate many of the symptoms experienced by those living with fibromyalgia. These include:

One of the most astonishing facts is vinegar’s ability to kill viruses and bacteria.  It has also been shown that if consumed daily, joint aches and pains will become less prominent. ACV has a multitude of personal testimonials.  Allergies (including pet, food and ecological), sinus infections, acne, high cholesterol, flu, chronic exhaustion, candida, acid reflux, sore throats, contact dermatitis, arthritis, and gout are known to be cured by it. Apple Cider Vinegar also breaks down fat and is widely used to lose weight. It is believed that a daily dose of apple cider vinegar in water for two weeks has high blood pressure under control!.

Why it helps?

So it is concluded that apple cider vinegar has some remarkable health properties. The malic acid in apple cider vinegar may improve the flow of oxygen to the muscle cells. “Oxidative stress” which is what occurs when energy is converted into those very harmful free radicals can be prevented by trace nutrients present in apple cider vinegar. Acidosis is prevented by raising the pH with the help of apple cider vinegar, a major factor in pain management.

Dose

About one to two tablespoons of unfiltered, cold pressed, unpasteurized, organic apple cider vinegar per day is the suggested dose of apple cider vinegar. Working up from 1 teaspoon is recommended and finding methods of taking it that are palpable advised. Consult with a homeopath or doctor as always whenever embarking on any homeopathic treatment course.

In the grocery store most apple cider vinegars found have been filtered, refined or distilled but this over-processing in fact destroys almost all of the things that make it advantageous to one’s health. Raw, cold pressed, organic apple cider vinegar that has not been pasteurized has the best results. Beneficial raw enzymes and gut-friendly bacteria that aid in healing will be present in this form of apple cider vinegar. It can be brewed at home or best purchased from a health food store.
