I am a 38 year old woman from Indiana, USA. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia since 2001 after breaking my pelvis and not recovering from the pain. I am the mother/step mother of 7 grown children and grandmother to 3 children under 5 so far. As a career, I was a CCRN following in the footsteps of my mother, grandmother, and aunt. I had to retire 2 years ago and hope that isn't permanent, but so far it is. I have applied for disability, but haven't won yet. I have a fantastic hubby, wonderful kids and some supportive family, but I have not been immune to the social suffering we all face. Unfortunately, I too find myself lonely and sad often. My pain isn't controlled and I am no success story, but I fight daily to have a pleasant outlook on my future.
