Fibromyalgia and Healthy Breakfasts
Understanding the impact of nutrition, diet and healthy breakfasts on the body is especially significant for those of us suffering from a chronic illness like fibromyalgia (FM). While our FM is not necessarily caused by diet or nutrition alone, they can influence our symptoms for better or for worse. Knowing which foods help and which foods hurt can put us on a path to a healthier and more comfortable life.
It is known that there is a certain pathological dysfunction in the cerebral response of the nociceptive system. This clarifies why certain stimuli can be so agonizing, and why a disproportionate amount of the pain is concentrated in certain points on the body.
It is also known that people with FM have a larger amount of type C fibers (linked to the neuropathy of pain) and fewer neurovegetative fibers around their small blood vessels.
Fruits and Vegetables
Usually, low calorie, high fiber foods that are rich in phytochemicals and antioxidants are helpful to the individuals dealing with fibromyalgia. It has been indicated by many doctors that natural foods should be a part any diet for fibromyalgia.
Combine a fruit with some protein (milk, cheese, nuts) for a snack. This will tide you over, keeping you full longer. Some people do very well with just fruit for breakfast. You have to find what is right for you.
Oranges with cinnamon and honey
Oranges are filled with vitamin C, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Cinnamon and honey also have the same anti-inflammatory properties, so having some orange slices drizzled with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a tablespoon of honey is a good option to include on a fibromyalgia breakfast list as it can provide you with an energy boost to start your day well.
Avocado with berries
The avocado contain healthy fat that can be good for those who are suffering from fibromyalgia. The vitamin E can help with muscle pain and spasms, but avocadoes also have vitamin B, C, and K, along with minerals like iron and manganese. Adding an antioxidant like berries with avocados can be even more powerful. You can make tasty smoothie with berries and avocadoes.

Papaya with almonds
Nearly seventy percent of people with FM also have irritable bowel syndrome. That is why you must take good care of your intestinal system and avoid certain foods that tend to cause inflammation.
