New Organ Discovered in human body and it’s everywhere in your body

Our body is full of surprises. This time, A newly discovered “organ” that might affect major diseases and it was hidden from scientist from thousands of years. The new “organ” is called the interstitium and it’s everywhere in our bodies, one of the largest in the body, and one that was there the whole time.

Through latest technology, U.S. scientists report they’ve discovered a “Highway of Moving Fluid.” Its believed that Layers of the body are dense, connective tissues are actually interconnected, fluid-filled compartments, the scientists report in a new study.

“This finding has potential to drive dramatic advances in medicine,” said study co-senior author Dr. Neil Theise, a pathology professor at NYU Langone Health in New York City.

It’s the tissue that lines our digestive tracts, urinary systems, and lungs, surrounds our arteries and veins, and supports the tissue between our muscles.

Scientists have long known about the body’s various interstitial spaces between cells, but its importance was never quite understood. The interstitium was simply thought to be dense connective tissue that enclosed fluid-filled spaces.

Now, a team from New York University’s School of Medicine, is asking for a re-think of the “previously unappreciated” tissue layers of the interstitium. New analysis published in the journal Scientific Reports is the first to identify these spaces collectively as a new organ and try to understand their function.

Remarkably, the interstitium had previously gone unnoticed despite being one of the largest organs in the human body.

The newfound organ, here beneath the top layer of skin, is also in tissue layers lining the gut, lungs, blood vessels and muscles. The organ is a bodywide network of interconnected, fluid-filled compartments supported by a meshwork of strong, flexible proteins (Jill Gregory)

They say the interstitium is not just a bunch of collagen walls between cells; instead, they are dynamic, fluid-filled spaces that aid in important functions.

According to their report in the journal Scientific Reports, interstitial spaces are organized by a collagen “mesh” and can shrink and expand “and may thus serve as shock absorbers.” These “dynamically compressible and distensible sinuses” act as thoroughfares to transport critical fluids within organs and around the body.

They say the interstitium plays an important role in carrying lymph, the clear fluid that also travels through lymphatic vessels and that supports immunity. But it might also play a role in some of our body’s less desirable functions.

It may be an important part of a sudden swelling called edema. It may also help in the spread of cancer cells during metastasis. And it may have an important function during fibrosis, or the stiffening of certain tissues.

Because of its “dynamic” role in all these functions, the researchers say the interstitium should be called an organ in its own right. (The human body already has 80 known organs, which are tissues that have a specific structure and a specific function.)

Confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) provides real-time histologic imaging of human tissues at a depth of 60–70 μm during endoscopy. pCLE of the extrahepatic bile duct after fluorescein injection demonstrated a reticular pattern within fluorescein-filled sinuses that had no known anatomical correlate. Freezing biopsy tissue before fixation preserved the anatomy of this structure, demonstrating that it is part of the submucosa and a previously unappreciated fluid-filled interstitial space, draining to lymph nodes and supported by a complex network of thick collagen bundles.

These bundles are intermittently lined on one side by fibroblast-like cells that stain with endothelial markers and vimentin, although there is a highly unusual and extensive unlined interface between the matrix proteins of the bundles and the surrounding fluid. We observed similar structures in numerous tissues that are subject to intermittent or rhythmic compression, including the submucosae of the entire gastrointestinal tract and urinary bladder, the dermis, the peri-bronchial and peri-arterial soft tissues, and fascia.

These anatomic structures may be important in cancer metastasis, edema, fibrosis, and mechanical functioning of many or all tissues and organs. In sum, we describe the anatomy and histology of a previously unrecognized, though widespread, macroscopic, fluid-filled space within and between tissues, a novel expansion and specification of the concept of the human interstitium.

What is This Connection with Fibro?

Over the use of medical archives of patients analyzed with FM, examiners were able to gather data and document that these victims were 30% more expected than others to be analyzed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in coming future.  This group of examiners and doctors used insurance claims, medical notes, and some other documents to demonstrate that the link amongst extensive pain and cancer seems to be linked to a damaged immune system because of a type of injury or infection.

In a development study, comprising of six thousand members (40% or approximately twenty-four hundred people having no ache) and no one had former cancer analysis.  Of the thirty-six hundreds with extensive pain, almost four hundred were analyzed with a form of cancer at some point in the 9 years succeeding the real study. Colon, prostate and breast cancer were the most frequently analyzed forms. Even though doctors consider that FM is not a lethal situation and have stated these signs to their patients, medical examiners believe this is not 100% effective fact.  Though this circumstance does not assure other health hazards, it does just about twice the chance of dying from cancer if analyzed in future.

Handling Fibromyalgia and Cancer

When diagnosed with cancer, many FM patients have stated a substantial growth in their symptoms and pain. Many people suffering from FM already fight with sadness or sense of loneliness thanks to their devastating and daily pain.  When treatment of cancer starts, more treatment can generate many unanticipated difficulties.  Depending on the harshness of the cancer, radiation and chemotherapy can be involved.

Facing both of these health situations at the same time needs numerous care and inspiration from friends, because frequently radical lifestyle variations are essential to fight this battle. With the body already at a weaker situation from the pain, functioning over the variations of cancer cures is certainly a tough battle.  Many have found that work turn out to be exceptionally challenging with incapability to drive because of chronic fatigue, nausea and medication joining the ranks of your already irritating pains and aches.

The most significant step in dealing an analysis of cancer with FM is commit to you habitually scheduled visits with your doctor, follow recommended medication plan, observe any alterations in your situation, and stay optimistic.  Do not let depression, anxiety or fear bring down your beliefs.  Anxiety can add to your already weakened immune system.

Find needs to be confirmed, but it stands to raise a lot of basic biology questions.
